In short, a special form trademark is any trademark that is not a standard character trademark. A special form trademark typically has a design or logo, some particulary style of lttering, or color. If you are electronically filing a special form trademark, you must submit your trademark in .jpg format and there should be little or no white space aroudn the design of the trademark. It also should not contain any trademark symbols or other unnecessary elements that are not part of the trademark itself. If you are claiming color, then the .jpg of the special form trademark should be in color. Otherwise, in black and white.
