Signup and onboarding
Create an account
Trademark Sentinel uses the open-saas auth defaults. You can sign up two ways:
- Email and password — provide an email address and a password (minimum 8 characters). We send a verification link to the address you supplied.
- Google — click Continue with Google and approve the OAuth consent screen. Google-verified addresses skip the separate email-verification step.
Every new account starts on the Free tier: 3 active watches, daily scan cadence, email digest only. See Plan tiers and entitlements for the full comparison.
Verify your email
If you signed up with email and password, click the link in the verification email to activate your account. The link is single-use and expires after 24 hours. If it expires, sign in and request a new one from the Account page — we send a fresh link to the same address.
You cannot create watches or receive alerts until the address is verified. Unverified accounts see a banner at the top of the dashboard with a Resend verification email button.
First-watch nudge
After your first sign-in, the dashboard shows an empty state with a Create your first watch call-to-action. Clicking it opens the same form documented under Watches — pick a name, the Nice classes you care about, and the jurisdictions you want covered.
We send a confirmation email when the first scan completes (typically within 24 hours on the Free tier). After that, alerts arrive by email and in the in-app inbox according to your tier and account preferences.
